Tita — Terms of Use + External Beta Terms
1. About these Terms
These Terms govern use of Tita during the external beta. In these Terms, “Tita”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to the provider of the Tita beta.
Initial beta service territory: Hong Kong.
You accept these Terms by ticking the acceptance checkbox shown when you complete your account details. That checkbox is the recorded acceptance event: by ticking it you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy, the Privacy Collection Notice and the Cookie & Similar Technologies Notice.
2. Who may use Tita
During beta, an account holder must be at least 18 years old.
Children do not create or operate Tita accounts during this beta. Adults may record information about children and other people as part of household use, but an in-product role such as Owner, Parent or Admin is not proof of legal parenthood, guardianship, custody or other legal authority.
If you provide information about another person, you are responsible for having an appropriate basis and authority to do so.
3. What Tita is
Tita is a family-life organisation and care-recording service designed to help households remember, coordinate and understand everyday family activity.
The beta may include household organisation, child-care records, sleep/feed/nappy/growth or other care information, calendars, tasks, meal planning, notifications, insights and related features according to the release available to you.
Tita is not a healthcare provider, doctor, pharmacist, emergency service or substitute for professional medical advice. Unless explicitly stated otherwise following the required regulatory assessment, Tita is not intended to diagnose, prescribe, calculate medication dosage or make clinical treatment decisions.
For urgent medical concerns, contact an appropriate medical or emergency service.
4. Beta status
Tita is in beta. Beta software may contain defects, incomplete features, performance limitations and changes in behaviour. Features may be added, changed, limited or removed as we test and improve the service.
We may carry out maintenance, apply usage limits, suspend a feature or restrict admission to protect service integrity, privacy, security or beta capacity.
Please report material defects, especially anything involving the wrong household or child, unexpected data visibility, lost or duplicated care records, authentication, privacy or security.
5. Accounts and security
You must provide accurate account information and keep your authentication credentials secure.
You are responsible for activity performed through your account except to the extent caused by our failure to provide reasonable security or where applicable law provides otherwise.
Tell us promptly at support@asktita.com if you believe your account or household access has been compromised.
6. Households, roles and shared access
Tita is organised around households. Information may be visible to other authorised members of the relevant household according to the product’s role, permission, child and record-visibility rules.
Household roles govern product capability; they do not determine legal ownership of another person’s personal information and do not prove legal authority over a child or adult.
If you participate in more than one household, each household remains a separate context. You must not intentionally access, disclose or use information outside the household or permissions made available to you.
7. Child and third-party information
A child may be a data subject even though the child does not have a Tita account.
Adults using Tita should record only information reasonably necessary for household care and organisation. Do not use Tita to resolve custody, guardianship or family-law disputes.
If we receive a credible dispute about authority over a child’s information, we may restrict access or processing while the matter is reviewed. We may require evidence appropriate to the circumstances and applicable law.
Requests to access, correct, export or delete child information may require us to consider the identity and authority of the requester and the rights and interests of the child and other affected people.
8. Health, care and medication information
Tita may allow households to record care and health-related information such as feeding, sleep, growth, allergies, food reactions, symptoms, temperature or medication records.
These features are for household recording, organisation and reminders. They are not medical diagnosis or clinical advice.
Any reminder or estimate generated from a household rule or recorded history is not a safety-critical alarm and should not be relied on as the sole method for medication, feeding, health monitoring or emergency care.
You remain responsible for checking clinical instructions, prescriptions, medication labels and professional advice.
9. AI-assisted and derived features
Some Tita features may use automated or AI-assisted processing to organise, summarise or explain approved inputs.
AI output can be incomplete or wrong. It is not proof of a legal, medical or factual conclusion. Where confirmation is required, the authoritative household action or record remains the confirmed domain state rather than an AI suggestion.
Tita will not use customer household content to train general-purpose AI models unless a materially different use is separately justified, clearly disclosed and lawfully authorised.
10. Your content
You retain the rights you have in content you submit to Tita.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive licence to host, copy, transmit, process and display that content only as reasonably necessary to provide, secure, operate and support Tita, comply with law, and perform uses separately disclosed and lawfully authorised.
This licence does not transfer ownership of your household content to us.
We do not sell household or child personal data and do not use it for behavioural advertising.
11. Acceptable use
You must not:
- use Tita unlawfully or to harm another person;
- try to obtain access to another household, account or restricted record without authority;
- bypass authentication, permissions, security or service limits;
- upload malware or use Tita to attack, disrupt or probe the service without permission;
- use the service to harass, threaten, exploit or unlawfully monitor another person;
- intentionally enter false information in a way designed to harm another person;
- use automated means to extract substantial parts of Tita except where we expressly allow it; or
- use Tita in a way that infringes another person’s rights.
12. Notifications and communications
Tita may send service communications needed to operate the account or household, including authentication, invitations, configured reminders, service status, security and important beta communications.
Push and email delivery can be delayed or fail because of device, browser, network, provider or platform conditions. Tita notifications are therefore best-effort unless a feature expressly states otherwise.
Marketing communications are separate from service communications and will not be bundled into household membership or beta participation.
13. Research and feedback
You may choose to provide feedback about Tita. We may use feedback to evaluate and improve the product.
General beta participation does not by itself authorise recorded interviews, screen recordings, observation sessions or use of private household content for research. Where separate research consent is appropriate, we will ask for it separately.
14. Beta price and founding benefits
Use of Tita is free during the external beta.
Eligible founding/beta households will receive a lifetime subscription discount if normal paid Tita subscriptions are introduced. The discount percentage and the final qualifying cutoff/threshold are not yet fixed and will be communicated before paid launch. Free beta access alone does not necessarily establish founding-discount eligibility.
Selected Hong Kong beta households may be invited to a focus group. An invitation alone creates no benefit. A household that actually participates receives 12 months of subscription service free when paid subscriptions begin; if that household is also eligible for the founding/beta discount, the lifetime discount applies after the 12-month free period.
Nothing in these Terms promises a particular future subscription price, discount percentage or paid-launch date.
15. Recipes, third-party content and services
Tita is a recipe search, discovery and referral service. Tita is not the publisher of third-party recipes.
A recipe result in Tita may show limited information — the title, the source, classification and planning information created by Tita, and an image or thumbnail where our approved source treatment allows it — and then link you to the original publisher or another authorised source.
A helpful way to picture this is a search engine such as Google Search: you search, you see a short preview, and you go to the publisher's own page to read the full recipe. That comparison describes how Tita works for you. It does not give Tita the licences, legal status or rights that Google or any other search provider may hold.
Publisher content remains the publisher's content. Tita claims no authorship or ownership of third-party recipes, and naming a publisher, linking to a page or showing an approved image does not mean that publisher is affiliated with, sponsors or endorses Tita.
Content being publicly available online is not permission to copy or reuse it. If you want to reuse a publisher's recipe beyond your own personal household use, check that publisher's own terms.
Third-party content can change, move or disappear, and we do not control it.
Age, allergen, suitability and planning classifications created by Tita are organisational aids. They are not medical, nutritional or developmental guarantees, and they are not a substitute for reading the original recipe and taking professional advice where it matters.
Tita may rely on third-party providers for hosting, authentication, communications, AI processing or other service functions. Their role in processing personal information is described in the Privacy Policy.
Where Tita links to third-party content or services, those third parties may have their own terms and privacy practices.
16. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable beta service, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability.
We may change Tita or these Terms where reasonably necessary for beta learning, security, legal compliance, product evolution or commercial launch. If a change materially affects your rights or use of the service, we will provide appropriate notice.
17. Leaving Tita, suspension and termination
You may stop using Tita at any time.
Leaving a household, deleting an account and deleting a household are different actions and may have different effects on shared records and other members.
We may restrict or suspend an account or household where reasonably necessary to protect people, security, privacy, service integrity or legal compliance. We will avoid altering household roles merely as a side effect of account suspension.
Retention and deletion are governed by the Privacy Policy and applicable law.
18. Liability and mandatory rights
Tita is a beta service. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for losses arising solely from reliance on beta availability, estimates, reminders or AI-generated material where the service has clearly stated that those features are not safety-critical or professional advice.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limits any mandatory consumer or data-protection right.
19. Governing law and disputes
Nothing in this section removes mandatory rights you may have under applicable law.
